The update
Director Rajamouli has provided details regarding his upcoming film Varanasi, describing the primary creative challenge as the integration of multiple distinct elements into a single narrative. According to the director, the project incorporates the content and scale of six or seven individual films.
While acknowledging that the production might give the impression of being a science fiction movie, Rajamouli stated that the project is instead a fantasy film containing mythological components. The plot centers on a father-son relationship alongside a romance between a young man and woman. The director reported that merging these various genres and emotional threads has presented the most significant difficulty during development.
